Here's what the block looked like when it came back from the shop. The casting was cleaned and checked for cracks, then it was bored 0.020 over stock. New pistons were installed on the original rods and the crankshaft just needed a polish.

I had the shop do all the tricky stuff like pressing the new piston pins in and gaping the rings, installing the pistons, crank and main bearings. I also had them mill the heads, new guides,valves,and installed a double valve spring set.

I also had the shop install new oil gallery and water jacket plugs, and he even sprayed it the correct color.
