The trunk lid was a simple clean and strip job. There was some surface rust on the inside of the lower lip, but nothing a 3M stripper wheel could not remove. After 30 years this seam is almost always rusted out, making for a real complicated repair job. I will temporarly install the lid and end caps to check that everything lines up before they are removed and painted.
