Here is the 289 engine I picked up last year. It looks rough on the outside but has only 70,000 mi. I will strip the block down and have it honed and new cam bearings installed. The heads will get a valve job and hardened valve seats inserted, then I will reassemble it with all new seals, bearings and gaskets. A mild cam and an aluminum intake manifold will also be added.
