New Pinion bearings and pinion seal was installed and the backlash was adjusted before I painted the unit. Originaly, Ford dipped this casting in red primmer, then did all of the nessasary machining and assembely. The splash guard ring is a natural silver finish and the yoke is painted with Eastwoods Spray Grey to simulate a natural "cast" look. The axels had new bearings pressed on and new axel seals where installed on the housing.

The brake backing plates where stripped and painted semi-gloss black along with the complete differential housing. All new Wheel cylinders, spring kit, adjusters, shoes and emergency brake cabels where installed. The yellow and green springs shown in this picture are backwards, the green spring should be on the primary shoe (front) and the yellow one on the secondary shoe.
