 Elayne is a VON nurse, Victoria Order of Nurses. She's one of the so far unrecognized heroes of this country who is simply beyond even the extraordinary in her abilities to communicate, help, advocate and care. She is also a savage curling fan ... and got a thrill out of receiving her wade curling stone! Wade produced the curling stones in 1981 for the Peter Thompson whiskey company as special for their Beneagles Scotch Whiskey, and both Wade and Beneagles are marked in raised letters around the bottom. This stone still has its scotch in it with the plastic stopper, no idea if still drinkable! Got lots of other presents for family who I'll be seeing in the summer, pantomime set, sweet whimtrays, pair of lovely pale yellow birdbaths, the gorgeous Christmas Rabbit & Mouse ... as usual, Arizona has his excuses as to why he doesn't get around to pictures.  |
