Requirements for Canadian Consulate General
1.
Completed
application form and two recent passport-size photographs;
2.
Copy
of your birth certificate;
3.
Your
present and all previous passports or travel documents;
4.
Original
educational certificates (eg. high school, college or university diplomas),
transcripts and one set of photocopies of these certificates;
5.
Proof
of successful completion of six months of full-time formal training in a
classroom setting in a field or occupation related to the employment for which
you have applied (original or certified true copy of diplomas and transcript of
grades, and one set of photocopies); OR employment reference letter from current
and/or past employer (employment must have been completed no earlier than three
years ago) which states the full name, address and telephone number of the
employer, the length of time you have been or were employed by this employer
and your employment duties (eg. childcare, housekeeping, cooking), AND your
employment contract for that employer (if applicable).

Live in Caregiver Selection Criteria
The Canadian Immigration
regulations state that an immigration officer shall not issue an employment
authorization to any person who seeks admission to Canada as a Live-in
caregiver unless the person
1.
has
successfully completed a course of study that is the equivalent of Canadian
secondary school;
2.
has
the following training or experience, in a field or occupation related to the
employment of which the employment authorization is sought, namely,
I.
successful
completion of 6 months of full-time training in a classroom setting, as part of
the course of study referred to in paragraph (1) or otherwise, or
II.
completion
of 1 year full-time paid employment with one employer, in that field or
occupation within the three years immediately prior to the day on which the
person submits an application for an employment authorization to a visa
officer, and
3.
has
the ability to speak, read and understand English and French at a level
sufficient to communicate effectively in an unsupervised setting.
