The '67 Z-28 Network
Introduction
When I first became interested in learning more about 1967 Z-28 Camaros,
I found that there was little detailed information available. I purchased
"The Definitive 1967-1968 Z-28 Camaro Fact Book" by Jerry MacNeish along
with a number of other general Camaro books. These books provided
much of the general information that I was looking for, but didn't answer
many of the detailed questions I had regarding casting dates, assembly
dates, parts suppliers etc. I began searching the Internet and was
lucky enough to come in contact with a few very knowledgeable enthusiasts
who were able to answer many of my questions. Without their help,
I might have purchased one of the many "questionable" cars that were being
offered for sale.
Today, this information is more readily available thanks to a number
of web sites devoted primarily to the 1967 Z-28. However, I personally
prefer getting advice one-on-one from knowledgeable enthusiasts and friends.
The '67 Z-28 Network has been created to allow current and future '67 Z-28
owners to gain access to much of the information that I struggled to obtain
when I was first getting involved in the hobby. There are no memberships,
fees or commissions involved. I am doing this simply out of my own
interest in these cars and to help others who might not have the contacts
that I have been able to develop over the past few years.
How The Process Works
Most of the information will be exchanged by email. Simply contact
me at 67z28owner@symatico.ca with any questions, comments or information
you have regarding '67 Z-28s and I will respond to you directly.
If I don't have the information you are looking for I will attempt to obtain
it for you or I will put you in touch with another enthusiast that I think
may be able to help you. I will also post some of the more interesting
exchanges (non confidential of course) and classified ads on the "Network
News" page of my site. If you would prefer to speak with me "live",
please drop me a line and I will email you my phone number.
Hopefully, this endeavor will provide some assistance to those who are
just getting into the hobby or who have run into a dead end in the search
for information. I am always interested in hearing from anyone that
has an interest in these cars, so please feel free to contact me even if
it's just to say hello. Also, I have a personal database with information
on about 50 of the original 602 Z-28s produced and am always looking to
add more cars. Please contact me if you can assist in this regard.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Mark Kane
