Hello! Welcome to the Canadian Music Webring Homepage!
Finally, a place where you can easily jump in and wander freely through site after site of the best music in the world!!
Page updated Saturday, October 7, 2000 at 12:10am.
My apologies to those who are waiting to join the webring. Yahoo! the great search engine has taken over Webring and has completely changed the entire process of maintaining the ring. Until I can figure out where the heck everything went, new submissions will be on hold.
Again, please check in occaionaly as this matter may be resolved quickly.
I hope.
There's really not many conditions under which you have to comply to join this ring.
PLEASE READ:
The linked page must be:
Of course the submissions are screened first before they are added to the ring. Screening only involves checking for Canadian and musical content - my tastes and preferences will have NOTHING to do with additions to the ring. I want as many Canadian performers and writers as I can get!!!
This is a free service, aimed at starting a national Canadian Music community on the Internet.
Its free to submit, it's free to join, the html codes are free. I'm not even paying anything for this.
Just staying up all night after the gig doing all the typing and programming!!!
The Canadian Music Webring will contain links to many different types of musical sites. People of all ages and backgrounds will be accepted on the simple condition that their site promotes Canadian Music. Please take the time to browse through the Webring before submitting your site. There are young and wild bands out there, language that is questionable, views that are not popular. There are, on the other hand, groups and sites that show the highest level of professionality and appeal to the widest range of visitors. Thats what makes Canada so great. All different people, all together, making great music.
Sites will not be removed from the ring because of language used or musical style. There are other considerations, most importantly the inclusion of the html code on the URL submitted, that will affect a webpages stay in the ring.
Check your email soon after you submit your site. All the info you need will be in there.
Lost your html code? Here's an emergency generic copy . Mind you, you'll still need your site ID.
Don't know how to paste the code on your page? Read this step by step.
CANADIAN MUSIC WEBRING 2000
At almost 500 sites strong, the Canadian Music Webring has become a great tool for musicians of this country to get intouch with eachother, or simply to see that there are other folks like them right next door. Be it classical composers, opera singers, country twangers, punk rock screamers, or a guy who plays harmonica in his room when no one is looking, they are all here.
NEW!
Mike Trebilcock, Hamilton singer/songwriter (formerly of the very successful band Killjoys) finally talked me into finding a search engine for the webring. Turned out it wasn't as hard as I thought. Just click here!
