Erkki-Sven Tüür on Film and Video |
| Last Update: August 8, 2003 |
| Information on the use of Erkki-Sven Tüür's compositions/scores for film soundtracks is hard to come by. Only two films (Ideaalmaastik and Sada aasta pärast mais) are currently (November, 2002) listed at the Internet Movie Data Base. The only printed sources found to date are the Erkki-Sven Tüür entry by Monika Topman in the Eesti Muusika Biograafiline Leksikon (EMBL) (Estonian Music Biographical Lexicon) (Valgus Publishers, Tallinn, 1990, ISBN 5-89900-008-2) where a brief listing of films is available and the book Estonian Film 1991-99 (F-Seitse OÜ Publishers, Tallinn, 2000, ISBN 9985-60-886-0) where only the films from the 1990's are documented. Once further information is known, it would be possible to make additions to the Internet Movie Data Base at www.imdb.com. The links below go to the IMDB specific pages for Ideaalmaastik and Sada aasta pärast mais and the other feature, short feature and documentary films are currently linked to the IMDB opening page only. The animation films are linked to their own pages at the Estonian Animation Film Studio site www.nukufilm.ee where applicable. Further information is also available at the Estonian Film Studio site www.tallinnfilm.ee. My thanks to Chris Robinson and Doug Maskew for assistance and suggestions here.
