The electric guitar soloist for the February 1, 2005 World Premiere of Symphony No. 5 for electric guitar, big band and symphony orchestra in Stuttgart, Germany is Martin Scales. Information has been updated on the Erkki-Sven Tüür Future Concerts Page.

A quick posting today to update information about the February 1, 2005 World Premiere of Symphony No. 5 for electric guitar, big band and symphony orchestra on the Erkki-Sven Tüür Future Concerts Page. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Adrian Belew will not be performing the soloist role in the piece at this premiere, although he may still do so at a future performance. The replacement soloist is yet to be announced but I will get the information posted here as soon as it is known. You can also keep checking the ECLAT 2005 New Music Festival pages to obtain information.

These were taken between rehearsals for the world premiere of Erkki-Sven Tüür's newest work Magma - Concerto for Percussion and Orchestra/Symphony No. 4 which was performed by percussionist Evelyn Glennie with the Royal Flanders Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Kwamé Ryan in Antwerp, Belgium on December 12, 2002.

The programme is repeated tonight (December 14, 2002) in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

Thanks to Doug Maskew at BBC Scotland, I was able to post information on the September 11, 2002 concert at the Vale of Glamorgan Festival with a performance by David Geringas of the Erkki-Sven Tüür Concerto for Cello and Orchestra with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales conducted by Petri Sakari to the Concert Archive Page and the Radio Broadcast Archive. Also was able to post late information on a November 24, 2002 concert at the Les Boréales Festival in France with performances of Architectonics VI and Passion to the Erkki-Sven Tüür Future Concerts page.
