Metal Detecting/Treasure Hunting
Al Duncan

Various types of metal buried underground can be detected electronically even though it is under several inches of dirt or sand. The device used is called a metal detector and can vary from a simple (cheap) unit which works very poorly, to elaborate computerized models costing many hundreds of dollars (up to $1000 or more). These high-tech models are very sensitive and can easily find lost rings, coins, small gold nuggets etc.
