The Body as The Divine Temple
Brain Lung Heart Spine

We own our body as much as it defines us.

If one would be aware of each bone the body has,
Like a colony of ants knows the tree it lives from;
One would be aware of each caress the blood gives to each of its vein,
Like the shore of sand may feel the sea it takes in;
One would be aware of the deepness of each breath,
Like flowers in the field may feel the bees and the butterflies that come and impregnate them;
One would be aware of the breeze on the skin,
Like a forest feels a windstorm.

Definitely for such a person, if it came to exist,
There would be no more difference between the mind and the body.
They would be the same.

One, it, she or he will come to be
A walking Temple.

Figure 15. The scale that weighs merits and sins. From The Sepher Yetzirah, the Book of Creation by Aryeth Kaplan, 1997.

The breathing, Air, breath from breath, Aleph, is a key link between the water in us, water from breath, Mem, (our subconscious) and the "electricity" in us, the Fire, Fire from Water, Shin, (our day to day mind). Our bones, Earth, will only come to a deeper life when the subconscious has become conscious and the conscious subconscious. Meanwhile the bones remain the best <ground> our body has.
