Article Submissions:
We welcome articles on model horses, performance and photography tips, book reviews, how-to's, live-show reports, etc. Articles up 2 pages in length will run free with half a page ad credit for payment.

Benefit Shows:
These are more than welcome and are the primary source of income which help keep the CMC&R thriving.  Benefit photo show ads in the CME are half price (overpayments considered donations).

The CME offers a regular series of monthly mail-in photo point shows with members volunteering to judge.

There are three divisions:
Div A - Original Finish Plastic
Div B - Customized (includes Artist Resins)
Div C - china/porcelain

34 classes in each division.  Entry fee is $2.00 per stable. Showholders announced in each issue of the CME.  All monies raised from these shows are donated towards the CMCR club.

There is a year end award for this series that is separate from the CMC&R year end awards. Points from these shows can also count towards the CMC&R year end awards. Details in the CME.

CMCR Year End Awards
Year end awards are announced in the CME and are based on points sent in by the individual showers who have shown their models throughout the year (either live shows or photo). The awards program depends largely on individual sponsorships. Please let us know (either your name, or stable/ranch/farm name) which category you wish to sponsor.
Sponsors will have their name printed in the Y/E results program.

Points and Points Reporting
All members who have hosted a benefit show for the CMC&R during each year are eligible to submit points for year end awards. The show year runs from Jan. 1st to Dec. 31st. Points are to be submitted just once, and are due to the point keeper by Feb. 28th of the following year.

Horses must be registered prior to Dec. 1st of the show year.

Please note: the registry is closed between Dec 1st - Jan 1st.

All information on how to submit points and the name of the pointkeeper will be announced in the Nov/Dec CME.

Points are limited to those won at Canadian held shows (photo or live) and to the best 30 shows for each horse. You may enter as many shows as you like, but only 30 for each horse will count.  Placings won in model races DO NOT COUNT AT ALL.

Submitting Points:
If you wish to submit points at the end of the year you must have hosted a benefit photo show within the past 12 months.

List each horse with name, breed, gender, and CMC&R registration number, followed by
total points won.

You also must submit a list of the shows you have entered that year including the date, name of show, and the show holder's name.

Novice Showers
A novice shower is anyone who has been showing two years or less, starting from the date you joined the CMCR.
The CMC&R welcomes and encourages novices and new showers, therefore we have a separate division for them at the Nationals as well as special year end awards for them. We also encourage individual show holders to offer classes for novices at their shows.  Photos entered in novice classes must be taken by a novice.

All correspondence requiring a reply must be accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE). We welcome any and all questions.
