In her seventh chapbook To All The Boys I've Snubbed Before, April A. Severin has presented us with vivid images of relationships gone wrong. This time April's short, concise poems are prickly in nature. They remind us more of her early works Testimony and Witness than of her more recent nature-based collections. The title indicates the spirit of a survivor which is shown in her poem "On Your Birthday." - June I. Peace
