Galaxie Dance is the dance channel on Galaxie the CBC's continuous music service - 44 channels of commercial free uninterrupted music, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year direct to more than 2.8 million homes across Canada by satellite, micro-wave and cable provided by Bell Expressvu, Star Choice, Look, Rogers, Videotron, Shaw, Cogeco and many other operators across the country.
Galaxie Dance provides a continuous flow of un-edited, un-mixed, full length club cuts as played by DJs across Canada's nightclub circuits. The music mix is led by house, techno and trance and whenever the vibe takes a crossover club ride, there are feature drum & bass, funk and soul tracks.
Every night from 8 pm to 4 am (EST) Galaxie Dance features a constant flow of new music with the latest club sounds.
Every Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm (EST) Galaxie Dance hosts a retro brunch, with the best in classic funk, soul, disco, house and techno from the 70s, 80s, 90s and last year's hits.
Each month on this site, we publish the new music added to the channel including the names of the mixes and the top 100 cuts played in the last month. We also publish the Galaxie Dance top 10 recommended albums as featured on www.galaxie.ca where there are instant purchase links to HMV.com (English site) and archambault.ca (French site).
