William MacKinnon's roots are in
Doaktown, New
Brunswick on the upper southwest
Miramichi
River. A former staff of the
Provincial Archives of New Brunswick, he was educated at the
University of New Brunswick, Oxford University and the University of
Toronto, and presently works with
First-Pilgrim United
Church and the Department Public Health and Community Services in
Hamilton, Ontario, and at Shelter, Housing and Support with the City of
Toronto. He lives overlooking the water in Hamilton, Ontario.
