August 18, 2000 Grand Trunk Trail/Blair Trail/Living Levee
We made history - as the
official Pacific Ocean water relay passed through Cambridge on its way to the final destination in Ottawa and
the merging of the waters of Canada's three oceans..
7 year-old Evan Mills
started the celebration
Official Relay 2000 Water Carriers started
the 9.7 km journey at 9 am and arrived in Dickson Park 2 hours later.
More than 200 citizens
walked the entire route with the official water carriers.
