FIRST TIME CLIENT SERVICES:

I'll do a line edit, then return it to you with changes marked. I use Word 98 to track changes. If you don't, then I'll send a *.rtf file; if your processor will save as rtf, that will help with consistency.

If you want to use my editing services, and if I think I can help you, then we will work out a fee. I do not take on clients whom I do not think I have the right expertise to help. If I don't think I can help you, then I'll give you the names of other editors who may meet your requirements.

    Caveat:This is by request.  If I do not think I can review your book in a timely manner, or due to     personal issues and preferences, I will let you know.  Upon agreement, provide book. 
 

PAYMENT STRUCTURE:
Technical retainer fee-- 
   Initial 1/3 projected fee upon agreement.  1/3 mid-way through the process.  Final 1/3 upon completion.
Fiction-- 
   Initial 1/4 retainer fee; 1/4 at mid-point; 1/4 during last segment; 1/4 upon completion.
Alternate payment plans available upon agreement.
International Electronic transfer.
 

ELECTRONIC SUBMISSIONS:
Electronic files preferred in *.doc and *.rtf format.  The cost of postage is a significant factor, particularly for international clients.  I will edit the mss hardcopy if that is your preference.  Additional postage fees will be charged.

FREE SAMPLE EDIT PROVIDED: 
YES...5-10 pages; occasionally I will ask for more.  I prefer the first chapter to see if the hook works as well.  If a chapter is only eight pages long, it is sometimes better to just send those eight pages -- this also allows me to check the hooks.  

SERVICES AVAILABLE: 
Editing, graphic artist, writer, columnist, ghost writing, customized cards, book reviews.  I may contact agents as we work on your book; you will be apprised of agent's interest.

I reserve the right to reject projects.  If a project is terminated, fees will be adjusted and monies returned for unfinished segments.
