The Sidwinder is another trike I designed to make it easier to fabricate for the home builder. The steering geometry (caster camber) is the same as the Beach Raider and Storm. The track is slightly narrower at 28". This is to make it easilier negociating trails. I used three BMX wheels with 14mm. axles with Rush brakes. It has Shimano Sora road components with 160mm. front crank. The rear derailleur is mounted on a lengthend hanger. This gives maximum ground clearance with a 20" rear wheel. The frame does not have suspension. It is made mainly from 1-1/4" x 1/16" wall box tubing. This was to simplify the frame for home building. It is a twin rail design with adjustable boom. The seat is 3/4" x 1/16" round tubing with mesh. It is bolted to the frame in four areas, two just under the seating and two at the rear of the frame. Colour. My friend Wayne painted his new Storm Grabber Green. I didn't like it a first however during one one ride he was behind me. All I could see in my mirror was green. Very visable. He had his friend powder coat it. This realy pops out on the road. The Sidewinder has a rear carbon fiber fender fitted with plastic box.
