After much thought, it has been decided that the
Runners Roadstead will close up. While the plan had been to continue to
follow the team after the move to Edmonton, the lack of information
locally and constraints on time offline, means a lack of updates and a
decline in the site to begin with. With the team changing itself in logo
and name, it is no longer even our beloved team that left here.
The Roadstead would like to thank the other sites
and fans for all of the support and encouragement over the past season.
It was a pleasure interacting and hearing from all of you. Also thank
you to those fans out west who were willing to take the time to send
photos and news back to keep the site going, it was appreciated. |
The Roadstead will not be updated again, however
pictures can still be acquired by dropping an email to the address on
this site, both for the Roadrunners and teams they played during the
2003 season.
It was a great year and it will be great to get
hockey back in a year when the Baby Leafs move to town, and hopefully
they will find even more support from the great fans that attended
Roadrunner games.
To the Edmonton Roadrunners good luck in the coming
season guys! We wish you all the best out west and hope you have a solid
year.
