Carbon Willis Kennels was established 20 years ago. We strive to produce a true beagle type both in appearance and temperament. Our beagles are known for their hunting ability and adaptability as pet and field companions. Their willingness to please is admired by those who own them.
My first hunting beagle had these qualities and more. FTCH Hard Time Sue was the beginning of my love for this tough little breed and our foundation for our kennel.
She had all the characteristics of a great hound, Desire, Brains, Nose, Hunt, and especially stamina and Heart. Over the years I have made her my measuring stick for my kennel.
Sue was by Boston Blackie out of Sweet Singing Sue.
Her pedigree boasted greats such as FTCH Winterborne Boomerang, FTCH Rocky Vale Shane, FTCH McBrides Double Saucy, Patricia Anne 2nd.
Over the years I have heavily line bred to hounds like IFC Cryon Happyrin Sir Squirt, IFC Haunted Hill Whitey, etc, producing FTCH Carbon Willis' Jack.
Many of Jack's daughters have been bred to IFC Haunted Hill Shaker, an illustrious sire of note, producing the qualities I admired so much in my first hunting companion.
My love for the hunting beagle lead me to want to preserve the correct hunting variety and therefore I became a field trial judge. I owe all this and more to our Hardtime Sue. Rest well dear friend.
