Research in the Genlias web site and the ISIS database of Death 1811 - 1940 for Zeeland identified two distinct family clusters in the province of Zeeland. It is unlikely that these families were related to the branches of the Gort family in the North Eastern provinces of the Netherlands, but for the sake of completeness they have been included here.
