Classes for June-August 2005

Pre-registration is required due to the popularity of the classes. Call/email first to verify space availability. Print the registration form (click on "register here" on the desired class). Payment (cheque or cash) is by mail or at the downtown office (not at the dance locations - unless we are teaching a class at that day/time). If you wish to come to the office, please call/email to make an appointment. Current students may pay at their respective classes. Do not fax your registration form.

Dance Classes for June-August 2005 (Summary)

It is highly recommended that you register by Jun 22 to avoid disappointment. Some classes already have a lot of people pre-registered.

Group Class Descriptions

Our classes/lessons offer the best in beginner partner dancing with excellent instructors. The dance classes are at four locations in the downtown Toronto area and one location in the north end. The classes we offer are:

• Salsa level 1: Salsa (Salsa on 1)
• Salsa-Nightclub level 1: Salsa (Salsa on 1), Bachata, (nightclub) Merengue
• Salsa-Nightclub level 2: Continuation of level 1
• Salsa-Nightclub level 3: Continuation of level 2, double spins
• Salsa-Nightclub level 4: S-turn, lasso, spider, etc
• Salsa-Nightclub level 5: Coca-Cola, etc



• Latin-Ballroom level 1: Cha Cha, Jive, Rumba, Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango
• Latin-Ballroom level 2: Cha Cha, Jive, Rumba, International Quickstep, Waltz, Tango
• Latin-Ballroom level 3: Continuation of level 2 with Samba (not held Summer 2005)
• Latin Variations level 3+: Cha Cha, Jive, Rumba (suitable for people who have completed level 2 or 3)



• Swing level 1: Triple (East Coast) Swing
• Swing level 2: continuation of level 1 and West Coast Swing 1
• WC Swing level 1: West Coast Swing
• WC Swing level 2: continuation of level 1



• Lindy Hop Beginner 1: Basics
• Lindy Hop Beginner 2: includes Charleston and Blues
• Lindy Hop Intermediate: continuation of level 2



• Tap Dance Beginner 1: Basics
• Tap Dance Beginner 2: continuation of level 1
• Tap Dance Intermediate 1: continuation of level 2

Practice Sessions recommended by Toronto Dance

We are currently recommending the following practice sessions for Toronto Dance students. These are ideal for beginner dancers who have taken at least a few hours of dance classes. Please note, these are not lessons/classes but just a place to practice.

The Sat 3:30-7:30pm Salsa practice is run by students from various dance students and is non-profit. The cost is determined by the cost of the room rental divided by the number of people in attendance that week. Click here to see more information about the non-profit event.

Class/Lesson Registration

Registration and payment is required before attending the classes. You may also consider buying a gift certificate.

Those wishing to take 2 or more classes during the same term get additional discounts for certain classes:

• $9 discount for the second class (for new students only - current/past students already get a $9 discount) - discount only applies to 9-week Salsa-Nightclub 1, Latin-Ballroom 1, and Swing 1 classes
