This competition is well-worth attending since it is a full IDSF competition. Contact us if you are interested in going. We are going on Sat Mar 17 as a group. We need commitment with payment by Fri Feb 16. There are no refunds but you can try selling to someone else. Outing report: There were 13 Toronto Dance members and 13 guests who attended.
Outing for Latin-Ballroom students Fri 2007-03-16There is an official outing Fri Mar 16 to Westway Club for Latin-Ballroom students at all levels. This is your end-of-term dance outing. Please check your emails for details. Westway Club is located on 291 Evans St - click here for a map. It starts at 8:00pm. The discounted cost is $12 including a light hot meal at 10:00pm. Dress code applies - no jeans or T-shirts. Check your emails for your invitation. You need to be on a Toronto Dance list to get the discount. Outing report: There were 62 Toronto Dance members and 3 guests who attended. That is an excellent number especially when there was a snow storm.

Outing for Latin-Ballroom students Fri 2007-02-16There is an official outing Fri Feb 16 to Danforth Baptist Church for Latin-Ballroom students at levels 1 to 5. Please check your emails for details. Chuan Chee will teach a level 1 review lesson 7:45-8:30pm. This is a great place to practice your dance steps in a Toronto Dance-only environment. Toronto Dance on CBC Radio 2007-01-16Toronto Dance was featured dance studio on the CBC Radio Newsworld (nationwide news) on Tue 2007-01-16 6:15pm. It was on for 2.5 mins. It was mainly about the increase in popularity of Latin-Ballroom classes. TV shows such as "Dancing With The Stars" and "So You Think You Can Dance" and the stage play of "Dirty Dancing" and "Burn The Floor" help to raise awareness of ballroom and latin dancing. There is an introduction prior to the radio broadcast: In Toronto and other cities across Canada a growing number of people are trading their winter footware for high heal stilettos and patent leather shoes. Ballroom is on the rise. On the television, in the theatre and even in the local nightclubs, people are rediscovering the pleasure and the pain of the Tango, the Foxtrot and the Rumba. Watch "Dancing With The Stars" Tour Wed 2007-01-10The stars of Dancing With the Stars seasons 1-3 are going on tour to 38 cities throughout USA and Canada from 2006-12-19 to 2007-02-11. The TV show attached an average audience of more than 19 million viewers and ranks among the top 5 most-watched shows on all of TV. The tour will be in Toronto on Jan 10 at the Air Canada Centre.
