Dr. Donald Neil MacMillan (former Minister of Kenyon Presbyterian Church, Dunvegan, 1935 – 1959 and Chaplain with the Royal Canadian Air Force, Jan. 1941 to Sept. 1945) of R.R. #2 Finch; age 93 years.
Beloved husband of the late Jean MacMillan (nee MacLean). Predeceased by his infant daughter, Flora and his two sons, Robert and Donald. Dear father-in-law of Mrs. Claudette MacMillan of Finch. Cherished and loving grandfather of Sebastien and Sarah. Dear son of the late Neil MacMillan and the late Sarah MacMillan. Predeceased by three brothers, Archie, Eldred and Howard MacMillan.
Rev. Dr. MacMillan graduated from the University of Edinburgh, Ph.D. in Theology in 1935 and was Ordained and Inducted on the 4th of July, 1935. He was appointed to the Chair of Systematic Theology in the Presbyterian College, Montreal in June of 1959 until 1972 when he took a sabbatical study leave in Geneva, Switzerland. He returned to the College in the capacity of Acting Principal from 1973 until his retirement in August of 1978. In 1984, Dr. MacMillan wrote a book entitled “The Kirk in Glengarry”.
