Didi's Dilemma Part 2

An hour later Didi found herself at the mall. She felt guilty, but she couldn't help herself. The money was just burning a hole in her pocket! Then she saw the store where the toy of her dreams was. She felt herself drawn to that exquisite doll sitting on the shelf.

The beautiful porcelain doll was as breathtaking as it had been in the catalogue. She didn't just want one of them, she wanted to take them ALL home.

Didi needs ALL the Barbies in the toy store.

But something was missing! Oh! she thought as she read the tiny label on the box. You needed four Triple AAA batteries so that the doll could talk! And the batteries had to be replaced every week. Oh, well, she thought, reaching for the beautiful doll. It was worth it!

She looked at the doll more closely. It had piercing green eyes and exquisite skin. It looked so real. She couldn't believe it would be hers in just a matter of minutes. She went to the cash register and took out her wad of bills. Forgetting her guilt, she paid for the doll and took it home.

What happened next?
