These drivers have been my favourites over the years. I have placed them in order from my most favourite down.
The one thing Dad and I did every week, for as far as I could remember was to sit down on Sundays and watch NASCAR.
A black car #3 caught my attention from the beginning. I thought anyone who races with one thought in mind "WINNING" was my kind of person. I grew up with a dirt track racing family and nudging slower cars in front of you was common practice. Someone who could do it at 200 mph and not wreck is one hell of a driver. Dale was one of these. The site I have linked to gives a tribute better than I ever could.
The spirit of 28 lives on with Rick Rudd.
Actually I remember Ned Jarrett anouncing the race when Dale won his first Winston Cup race. Since my son has joined in the NASCAR tradition I do this in his honour
