February 11, 2011 To all our good customers and friends, Another year in the books. All a little older and hopefully a little wiser (a whole lot wiser would be nice but may be too much to ask) 2010 was eventful for us. we had a cousin and lifelong resident of Elephant lake & a brother get married on the same day in 2 different parts of the country. And the 50th wedding anniversary of Bill and Sandy. Big Time Stick-to-it-iveness Awards for Bill & Sandy and congratulations to Jeff & Shelly (Smith) and Kevin & Shannon (Slater) on your commitment. It's a Life Sentence for all of you. Good weather for a change last summer. Sun was out more than not so we enjoyed the season with many fine folks. Lots of fish caught over the year and some lunkers in our tournaments. Ryan got his first bear. Tyson & Dylan drove us all to drink with their mischief. (Cute kids but some days!!!!) Josh has been accepted to the University of Western Ontario. Olivia has become a hockey star in net. Steve is successfully moving his way up the MNR ladder at Presq'uille Provincial Park in Wildlife Management. Kristy is at D'arcy Lane Institute in London studying to become a Registered Equine Massage Therapist. Look for her next time you watch the Summer Olympic Games Equine Events. The next generation looks good from here. The rest of us older kids are same old, same old, watching our young ones succeed and working our butts off to make it happen. It's what parents are made for, right? (But don't get us wrong, because it's all worth it) Then there's the upper generation here, Bill and Sandy are still entrenched in their usual places, waiting with eager smiles to welcome you and catch up with the times. So don't disappoint them. Get yer butts up here for a vacation and a visit. You'll catch some pike and definitely be entertained. And if you're good we'll let you watch a John Wayne movie. Hope to see all of you in this season. Call 705-448-2861 or email elephant.lake@sympatico.ca to make your reservation today and be sure to mention this letter. Thanks and best wishes always, The Smith Family
