Alto Denise Norman is an MFA Graduate of York University whose singing and acting training includes a focus on Voice with David Smukler and Gwen Little, and Clown with Richard Pochinko, Sue Morrison and Philippe Gaulier. Favourite performance credits include the title role in  The Vile Governess with Lamarre Unger Dramatic Theatre and Isabella in  Measure for Measure at Theatre Resource Centre. Denise also teaches extensively, having taught acting students at Erindale College (University of Toronto), and Sheridan College in Oakville, McMaster University, York University, Seneca College, Randolf Studios and Young People's Theatre.

Current/Recent Non-GALS Activities: Denise appeared in two shows with Frog and Nightgown Theatre in June 2000, The Serpent's Egg and Of Magicks, Myths and Mortals. The plays explore ancient Celtic myth and legend combined with contemporary issues, creating a world of magic and possibilities that go beyond what our world accepts as fact. Denise is also a member of the Newfoundland vocal trio The Daughters of the Rock.
