Bungee works with many Garmin receiver types
Bungee works with any digital camera

GPS track plotter for Google Earth

Bungee connects your GPS receiver and camera to Google Earth.

Connect and Display

  • Display and Record a real-time position and track (NMEA Log)
  • Download, Save and Display tracks and waypoints from your Garmin GPS receiver.
  • Open and Display saved tracks and waypoints in any of several standard file formats.
  • View flight paths in 3-D, or ground tracks clamped to the terrain, or display speed as false-altitude. View track altitude together with a ground shadow, or with the track extruded to ground.
  • Explore your track from any point of view and review trackpoint details such as Latitude, Longitude, altitude, speed, date and time.
  • View live APRS positions received from a serial TNC Radio Modem.

Photo Link-n-Sync

  • Display the digital photographs you captured along the way.
  • See EXACTLY where and when you recorded your photos.
    • Your photos are not modified.
    • Any time zone difference or camera-time error can be easily corrected.

Playback

  • Follow an existing track or NMEA Log at actual speed or compressed time from a "chase camera" positioned anywhere above, behind, beside or ahead of the target at any distance - and Pause, Fast Forward, Fast Reverse, Repeat

Communicate

  • Upload Google Earth Placemarks as Waypoints to your Garmin GPS receiver.
  • Publish positions and tracks to a remote server using the integrated FTP client.
  • Zip the whole record, photos and all, using the Google Earth KMZ feature.

Compatibility

  • Bungee uses the serial COM port to operate with any GPS receiver conforming to NMEA-0183 v2.0 (Garmin, Magellan, Lowrance, Eagle and many others)
  • Bungee uses the USB interface to download Tracks from Garmin eTrex Legend HCx, eTrex Vista HCx, 60Cx, 60CSx, 76Cx, 76CSx, Colorado, Oregon and Nuvi receivers
  • Bungee uses the serial COM port and the proprietary Garmin protocol to download Tracks and Waypoints from non-USB Garmin receivers: eTrex Legend, Venture, Vista, Summit, GPS-12 and all others.
  • Bungee uses the serial COM port to communicate with a TNC radio modem (APRS)
  • Bungee links and synchronizes photographs recorded in JPG (jpeg) format, and will correct any errors due to time zone differences or camera clock setting.
  • Bungee is compatible with all versions of Google Earth. Download Google Earth now.
  • Source data is translated and saved by Bungee in KML format.
  • Tracks and Placemarks/Waypoints can be read from and saved in PLT, GPX, NMEA, WPT or CSV file formats.
  • Bungee reads all GPX files.
  • Bungee accepts international number syntax and date/time formats.

System Requirements

  • Bungee runs on Windows 2000, XP and Vista.
  • Bungee requires about 1MB of disk space (not including any track/point files you create or import).
  • Bungee is provided as a self-extracting executable. Download, save and run the BungeeSetup.exe program provided here.
