Ford Pinto Cruising Wagons were made from 1977 to 1980.

The main difference between these cars and a regular Pinto Wagon was the panels on the sides replacing the glass windows and the bold decal schemes.

Other not so obvious options included in the price of a Cruising Wagon are: Tach ,gauges, rally steering wheel, front spoiler,air ducts to the front brakes (cooling), larger stablizer bar, higher spring rates front and back, dual sports mirrors, and rally wheels.

Some were made without the "bubble window", just flat panels on the side. Some had the back seat removed and a panel put in it's place. This would make it a two seat "sedan delivery".

I have a written artical from "Peterson's Complete Book of PINTO" (1977). The title of the artical is

" The Pinto Cruising Wagon - WHAT IT'S LIKE TO DRIVE FORDS NEW, LIGHTWEIGHT MINI-VAN" !

Dennis' 2 1977 Pinto Cruising Wagons - October 1982 -still have them.

"Meaford Auto" Pinto now has 194,000 miles , Red/Silver Pinto has 115,000 miles (original Paint !)
