It was one of these "crazy ideas", in the Summer of 2002, which led me to involve fellow pinhole photographers in the creation of a "world pinhole image". I wanted to create an image capturing sights from around the planet into a single photograph.
The project proved a success and this first "world pinhole image" is a tribute to the commitment and spirit of cooperation which animated us.
During this period, I became the grandfather of a wonderful little girl. It is to her and all the children of the world that I dedicate this image. I hope that the spirit animating our group and the joy experienced when viewing this image will spread and grow in unforeseen directions on our fragile planet Earth.
This is what pinhole photography is all about...
