Who is Uncle Shoe's?

We were sitting around the bar one day, something we are prone to do on rare occasion (Hell, the place is closed twice a year and for several hours a day, this by definition (Mine) makes it a rare occasion,) when some idiot, probably Blkice, asked us where we came up with our committee's name.
We were flabbergasted, we had believed that everyone knew about "Uncle Shoe's". Some quick research showed, however, that many people had never heard of him. We proceeded to explain Uncle Shoes legend to anyone who would listen, and we pretty much forced everyone in the place to listen.
Now, Uncle Shoe's legend is quite long and soon things began to degenerate into incoherence, something which seems to be an occupational hazard of prolonged bar attendance.
After reviving from our collective coma, sometime the next week, we decided that we should commit Uncle Shoe's legend (It was that or commit ourselves) to paper.
For the unknowing and unknowledgeable among you we proudly present.
