| I can't guarantee that there will always be something to see, here, but I'll try. Sometimes, you'll see images from my backyard Observatory, other times may just be test images from a camcorder, or from some old tapes I've got. My C-8 frequently has a surveillance camera hanging off the back. From there, the signal is captured by a GrabIt Pro (Aimes Labs, now, sadly, out of business), a device similar to a Snappy. The GrabIt Pro is attached to the parallel port of an old Pentium 90 (48 megs RAM) with lots of hard drive space. This machine has lots of astronomy software on it (ECU, RedShift, both registered) and is hooked up to the local area network in my house. I use a delightful program called SpyCam, written by Bill Oatman. A windows 98 SE machine in the house is running Internet Connection Sharing, so that I can FTP the images out to my web page over an ADSL link. |
