Package your item carefully:
We strongly recommend that you ship your package using UPS or Federal Express
To avoid the possibility of costly damage, it is essential that anything you are shipping be very carefully packaged.
Whenever possible, pack your item using the box and shipping materials you received at the time you purchased it.
If you do not have these, be very sure your package is wrapped in multiple layers of shock-resistant foam or bubble wrap, and shipped in a heavy cardboard box appropriate to the size of the item.
If your equipment can move around inside the box, or if there are moving parts that can shift within the unit, it is not properly packaged and may be damaged during shipping without any external evidence.
This type of damage is not covered by courier insurance and is often more expensive to repair than the original problem. Shipping damage may also mask or change the original problem.
Tell us your name and explain the problem (even after you have telephoned):
Include your name, address, daytime telephone number, and email address (on a sheet of paper inside the box).
If you are sending a repair to our Service Centre, it is essential that you also include a description of the problem, giving as much detail as possible. Is the problem intermittent or consistent, and any events leading up to the problem such as installation of software; dropping the unit; spilling something on it; strange behaviour it was displaying.
Also include a list of the accessories you are sending (adaptor, external drive, etc.)
After your package has arrived.
We will contact you as soon as the estimate has been completed to discuss repair options.
