Fly
Tying and Custom Fly Tying
Fly tying can be tricky and quite a few fly fishermen just can't
be bothered to spend the time learning how to tie flies. Nothing
wrong with that. sometimes fly fishermen will pick a few patterns
when they are on an angling trip, then when they sit down at home
to try and reproduce them they say, "What the#@$!, how did
they do that?"
This page is perhaps one of the smallest on my
website, but it offers you one cracking service. For over 40 years
I have been tying flies. Think about that for a second. 40 years.
so if you have a pattern which you need copied, all you need to
do is send it of to me and there is a good chance that I will be
able to reproduce it for you. For just over 25 years I have been
tying flies professionally, and only once or twice have I been stumped
on how a pattern was put together. Heck, I can reproduce your last
fish catching fly, or tie the patterns found in books and magazines,
if you send me the fly or a colour photocopy of the magazine page.
Some of the services
I offer are:
Competition patterns tied to international rules and standards.
Commissioned exhibition and display work.
Traditional fully dressed Atlantic salmon flies.
