LEARN TO SNORKEL
Y.M.C.A. Caribbean Snorkeling Course

Imagine traveling to the Caribbean and being surrounded by crystal blue ocean water.  Fish gliding past as you snorkel over the coral reefs.  You dive down for a closer look, and then rise back up to the warmth of the sunshine. Another day in paradise and you’re glad you learned to snorkel at the North Bay YMCA before you left home.

Our Snorkeling course has been created by the North Bay Scuba Club and is specifically designed to make you comfortable and competent snorkeling.
You’ll learn new skills, be more relaxed in the water, and have a lot of fun.   Anyone who can swim can learn to snorkel.  Because there’s no age limit, the whole family can join in the fun.  It’s easy and your kids will remember their snorkeling adventures for a lifetime.

Requirements:
To participate in the Snorkeling course, you must have basic swimming skills, bring a swimsuit and T –shirt, have a desire to explore underwater and have fun.   The North Bay Scuba Club will provide the mask, snorkel and fins if you do not currently own any gear.

Training:
You will spend 45minutes – 1 hour in the classroom and 1 hour in the pool.
Our objective is helping you to achieve comfort and confidence with snorkeling.

Date:  Thursday February 25th 2010
Time: 7:30- 8:15 pm (Theory session)
           8:30-9:30 pm (Pool session)
Fee:  free for Y.M.C.A. members.
Non-members need to pay regular Y.M.C.A. admission fee.
