There passed peacefully away at his home at Port Rexton, on Sunday, April 17, Mr.
Ambrose Butler in his 82nd year. He leaves to mourn his passing a wife, 6 daughters,
Mrs. George Gullage of Catalina; Mrs. Walter Adey, Mrs. Cyril Head, Mrs. Earl Blair,
residing at Medford, Mass., U.S.A.; Mrs. Norman Johnson at Toronto and Mrs. Cecil
Clarke at Port Rexton; two sons, Wilfred at Toronto, and Levi at home, with whom he
resided. Also 1 brother, Willis at Port Rexton, as well as 28 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, and a number of relatives and friends.
The funeral was held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, with Rev. A. E. Bennett officiating. The
S. U. F. of which the deceased was one of its oldest members, paraded in a body to pay
their last respects to their departed brother.
