RUSSELL, Robert George - Passed peacefully away after a lengthy illness at the Health Sciences Centre on Tuesday, November 9, 2004, Robert George Russel, aged 74 years, formerly of Port Union. Served with the Canadian Army, member of Branch 16 Catalina and Branch 56, also member of the Orange Lodge. Predeceased by his parents Samuel and Sarah; brother: Eli and brother-in-law: Victor Johnson. Leaving to mourn with many fond memories his loving wife and best friend Juanita. Beloved children: Bonnie (Peter), Lucy (Rob), Paul (Joanne), Peter (Wanda), Elmo (Cathy); ten precious grandchildren: Stacey, Russell, Heidi, Brandon, Danielle, Lauren, Colin, Michelle, Alexander and Logan. Also mourning his sisters and brothers: Douglas (Gertrude), Melina, Arthur (Edith), Edgar (Ibena) and Rebecca. Special cousin Daisy Hiscock; special niece Helga Walsh. Also mourning a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral services to be held on Friday, November 12, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army, St. John's West Citadel, 176 Mundy Pond Road. Interment to follow at Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road. Donations may be made in his memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association.
