“I believe every painting should tell a story….,”

“Many people become blind to what’s going on around them because life is full of common place things, but to me it’s important to record these everyday things.  That’s my role as an artist—to identify the stories in life and project them in an entertaining way.”

In 1996,  Bev was invited on CKCO TV “The Risk Takers” to promote her small business with Stratford Realtors in producing watercolour paintings of homes  as gifts for vendors. That adventure lead to private commissions and teaching.

Her Hanover residence provides a great location for regular workshops for beginners and other artists learning new techniques. The workshops are intended to be challenging, informal and enjoyable.

Bev’s paintings can be found locally in business establishments in Hanover.  Her past art show at the Chesley Branch Library exhibited paintings inspired from her Medical Mission trip to Ghana, Africa and published an article, “African Inspiration” in the Mosaic Magazine.

Bev’s “Morning Orchid” was chosen as a 2010 Owen Sound Banner in which was chosen from 216 submissions by 83 artists. (see above) Bev is preparing for the Month of September 2011 exhibition at the Southampton Art Gallery. The theme of this upcoming show is “Waterfalls Not Far from Home”
