The Amberola A1

Back to the Edison phonographs

In December 1909, the Edison company issued its first cylinder inside horn machine, the first Victor-Victrola (the Pooley cabinet) appearing in 1906.  Issued one year after the new 4M wax Amberol records, the A1 is the only 2M-4M combination Amberola machine.  The four drawers are holding 25 cylinder boxes in clamps.  Mine has original wooden separations.
