This machine made by US wears the name "Cortinaphone", meaning that it was specially sold for foreign language.  See special foreign language Cortina cylinder with the "Language Phone".  The container on the left, made by "The International Corresponding School", to be used with modified Edison phonographs was used to send, by mail, blank wax cylinder recorded by students.  Once listened by the professor and shaved, the once more blank cylinder was mailed back by the same manner.

Any original documentation showing the machine would be appreciated.  Please, contact Me
