The particularity of this phonograph consists in the vertical crank.  But, not like the Berliner Trade Mark where this way of disposing the crank axis is a must, we can easily see here that the design is a little bit artificial, even if the fact of replacing a key is more covinient, the cranking of the machine being continuous.
