The Gem A (first version)
Back to the Edison phonographs
Introduced in 1899, this is the first version of the A called "drip pan" because of a metallic one fixed under it as the machine was un-cased. The top of the special reproducer is fixed to the carrier-arm with two screws and the lower part to its back with no contact between the two reproducer parts.
From a Babson "The Talking Machine Co." catalog and a German one.
