Back to the German Machines

forenoir.JPG (54305 bytes)

This machine was bought at the St-Ouen (Paris) flea market with no horn (horn support "original") and no reproducer.  Made out of a "Black Forest" clock mechanism with some wooden gears, its access is possible by two flip-down side panels.  The spring is wound by a clock key and the speed adjusted by the small key mounted on the ring of the key itself.  Two previous holes for a twisted string have been masked as the mandrel was turning backwards in such a configuration.  The most rustic phonograph of the collection.
