The Edison Idelia

Named "Ideal" when issued in October 1907, and later "Idelia" in January 1908 because of prior use of the name by others, this phonograph is very recognizable by its oxidized copper finish.  Here is the Idelia Model D2 issued in 1909 with a mahogany Music Master cygnet horn.  The Idelia was superseded by the Opera in 1911.  It is certainly one of the more desirable Edison machines and one of the rarest ones
