Toy Phonograph

This curious toy cylinder phonograph of unknown origine (can be German?) was bought at an American Phonograph Show, without horn, and reproducer.  The dark green dyed parts are very close to the ones seen on toy steam engines.  It has an unusual wooden mandrel with nice color and a fragile end gate.  The front layshaft is necessary to connect the electric motor pulley to the mandrel axis pulley, because of their relative positions.   In the background, a tiny Grenet cell is supposed to give the necessary current.
