This trail less summit is located just East of the Seward Range. Seymour Mt. is often done with the Seward Range during a 3 days trip. The unmark trail starts near the Ward Brook Lean-to and follows a large brook with many waterfalls. From the middle of the ascent starts a large slide on flat rock, wet and sometime slippery. The trail follows the right side of this slide. The next section is steep until reaching a long ridge to the true summit. Near this summit, a large open rock area has a fine viewpoint to Ampersand Lake on the North and to the Seward Range on the West. This will give a nice view of the challenge that follows, if you're doing the Seward Range the next day.
