MacNaughton Mt.

A day hike in and out to MacNaughton Mt. for a total of 20,25 km in 9 hours including 1 hour of rest. The start is from the parking area at Upper Works. A herd path is visible along the brook (east side) going to the crest. To get to this 15 feet large brook quit the trail from the first metal remains from old lumbering time. From this point, we can herd the sound of a flume from the North. This fairly large brook has many flumes all the way up. Warning: You get too far on the trail if you are following a large brook flowing toward the West. It's the good one, but you must return (to East) as many as 100 meters from this point. Note: This is a bushwhack along the brook in a dense fire trees cover and a lots of deed trees. You should proceed slowly, be very careful to avoid injury and always look to the ground to follow existing footpath. This is an updated version based on our 97-08-25 trip.

Other trip:

  • From Wallface Pond. I've tried this way on 91-06-04. After 15 minutes in the swamp after Wallface Pond, I've realised this is a real bushwhack. It's wasn't for me
