2-way(Rc). 2-way R.C. Slab Design with SDOF Analysis.

Developed by a consulting structural engineer with over 40 years of experience in Blast Design and programming.
The software is intended for the design of 2-way reinforced concrete slabs subject to a dynamic blast load, and allows for easy determinations of the dynamic properties of the slab, and the response (deflection and reactions) of the actual element, and compares it to the response criteria as established by the client.
Both elastic and plastic response is considered.
Sources: Biggs et.al. "Structural Design for Dynamic Loads", and Dr. K.W. Johansen, "The Yield Line Theory for Plates".
The determination of the dynamic properties of the r.c. element is included.
The slab may be horizontal (roof) or vertical (exterior wall).
Rectangular 2-way isotropic slabs (min. ratio 1:2 = short:long), different reinforcing top and bottom, and 9 different configurations of support conditions (fixity) are possible.
The software uses a numerical integration method adjusted to analyse members subject to high intensity impulse load.
The algorithm considers the actual delay of the rections due to shear speed.
Imperial or metric units.
It is the only design tool of this kind available at a very low cost.
The analysis employs the actual member properties only.
Transformation factors for analysis in an equivalent SDOF sytem are not necessary, as the natural period of vibration is required for input.
This property is easily determined together with the bi-linear resistance data, etc.
